There are equations for everything in this world - even for natural disasters. You can count the probability of surviving, liters of potable water and kilos of painkillers needed. You can even calculate the size of a mass grave or time for the economy to recover. The only thing you cannot count is the personal loss.

M = E x T
Memory is Emotions over Time

While emotions are the most enhancing element constructing memory, the factor of time is what makes it less accurate and more subjective.

On Sunday, 26 December 2004, Sri Lanka was the second hardest-hit country by Indian Ocean Tsu- nami. There was a confirmed number of 30 196 casualties and approximately one and a half million people were displaces from their homes. As a mainly Buddhist country with emphasis on now, Sri Lanka tried to forget the tragic events. But now ten years after, one can still feel the remains in the collective memory.
